2022 Conference Program

We are excited to provide an all day event loaded with high quality professional development! Now more than ever, it is imperative that our students receive high quality instruction. Learn with exceptional educators from across the state as they share with you what is working in their classrooms. Several featured speakers will be on deck as well. Dr. Pat Brown will delve into the "explore before explain" method as outlined in his best selling book series, Instructional Sequence Matters. Susan German, Missouri's new Director of Science, will keep us abreast of what is happening at the state level. Mike Szydlowski of Columbia Public Schools and past STOM president will share with you insights from their award winning placed-based education program. Mike started the program a few years ago and it has grown into a model program that is used across the country. Tours of the school zoo will be included! Dr. Christina Hughes, past STOM President, will present on how to use Crosscutting Concepts and Science and Engineering Practice to elevate student thinking as they figure out science.

If you are a company that would like to sponsor a table or present a workshop, click here.

We look forward to seeing you there!
