The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) program recognizes the importance of honoring excellent teaching and promoting STEM education. PAEMST is pleased to announce that the 2022–2023 nomination and application cycle for 7–12th grade STEM teachers has officially opened.

PAEMST, a White House program administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF), are the nation’s highest honors for K–12 STEM teachers. Awardees receive a trip to Washington, D.C., a certificate signed by the President, a $10,000 award from NSF, and join a cadre of over 5,200 award-winning teachers. To be eligible for this cycle, teachers must be full-time employees of a school or school district, teach at the 7–12th grade level at least 50% of the day, and have at least five years of K–12 teaching experience prior to this school year.

Teachers/schools can join PAEMST in honoring exceptional teachers in your community. Applying and nominating deserving teachers will help give every talented educator a chance to be recognized for their impact. Nominate exemplary 7–12th grade science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers within your district at www.paemst.org today

This year's awards will honor science, technology, engineering, or mathematics teachers working in grades 7-12. Nominations close on January 9, 2023. Click here to visit PAEMST's website for a full overview of their program
