L. David Swantner
David is a High School Biology/Zoology teacher at Camdenton High School in Camdenton, MO. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Missouri State University (Springfield, MO) a Master of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master of Education (Secondary Education) degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He is currently in his seventh year of teaching in the Camdenton School District.
For the past 5 years, he has been the President of the Camdenton School District local chapter of MSTA (Missouri State Teachers Association). He has served 1 year on the MSTA Southwest Region Education Policy Committee and is currently in my second year serving on the MSTA Education Policy Committee (statewide). This MSTA Committee works on establishing legislative priorities for MSTA as it pertains to school/student advocacy and teacher employment issues, which greatly aids him in the role of STOM Legislative Liaison.
He is the father of two grown sons and one daughter who is a senior in high school. He is originally from Wentzville, MO and has lived at the Lake of the Ozarks for the past seven years.
